At just before 10pm on Wednesday, there was a collision between a grey Peugeot 3008 and a red Toyota Auris near the top of the A509 Chichley Hill from Newport Pagnell.

The driver of the Toyota, a man aged in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time.

The driver of the Peugeot, described as a 6ft tall man in dark clothing, ran from the scene.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision or saw the man described leaving the scene to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police," said investigating officer PC Richard Minney, from the Roads Policing Unit.

“If you were driving on Chichley Hill and saw anything or have dash-cam footage, please contact us.

“You can do so by calling us on 101 or by reporting online, quoting reference 43250640575.”
