ANY rough sleeper in MK can have a roof over their head tonight

Peter Marland confirmed the council's progress on rough sleepers in an interview with MKFM

Talking to MKFM, Peter Marland, leader of Milton Keynes Council, says they've made massive steps towards reducing homelessness over the past 3 months.

Marland says, "We've taken some of the extra council tax we're charging people and put it directly into helping rough sleepers and that means literally anybody that is on the street today or tonight can have a roof over their head if they want it"

Marland continues, "We've more than halved rough sleeping in the past 3 months and that's testament to the work our team have done at Milton Keynes Council"

Peter Marland says the council are now trying to combat rough sleepers who won't accept help, "for those people it's a lot about building relationships and building trust"
