Annual Armed Forces Christmas Breakfast is the largest held in Milton Keynes to date

One hundred and thirty members of the Milton Keynes Armed Forces community gathered at Capt Ridley’s Wetherspoons in Bletchley on Saturday morning, for the Armed Forces Christmas Breakfast.

The annual event, the biggest to date, brought together veterans, reservists, regulars, cadet instructors and their families to enjoy a full English breakfast, while the Royal British Legion band performed traditional carols.

Honouring a long-standing military custom, both serving and retired officers from all three services took on the role of hosts, personally serving breakfast to the tables.

This year, they were joined by all three Milton Keynes MPs and the Mayor of Milton Keynes, who all helped serve and spent time engaging with veterans.

The breakfast was funded by local sponsors, with Wetherspoons adding festive touches through table decorations and crackers.
