Analysis reveals parts of Milton Keynes with lowest and highest life expectancy

    Following an exclusive analysis by Sky News, the difference in life expectancy across the city of Milton Keynes has been revealed.

    Earlier this month, Sky News revealed its exclusive analysis which shows healthcare inequalities are getting wider.

    The results reveal just how much your address, your ethnicity, your gender, and your socio-economic status affect how long and healthy your life could be.

    While men in Knightsbridge have the highest life expectancy in the country at 94.1 years, the lowest can be found in South Promenade, Blackpool at 66.6 years.

    In Milton Keynes, there is a 15.1 year difference between the highest life expectancy and the lowest. Women in Tattenhoe Park, Tattenhoe and Emerson Valley have the highest life expectancy in the city at 88.1 years, 5 years above average.

    Men in the same area have a life expectancy of 84.5 years, 5.2 years above average.

    At 73 years for men and 78.6 years for women in Fenny Stratford, Denbigh, Mount Farm, Simpson, Tinkers bridge, Netherfield, Bleakhall, Beanhill and parts of Coffee hall, they are the areas with the lowest life expectancy in the city 6.3 years below average for men and 4.5 years below average for women.

    In Woughton on the Green, Eaglestone and Fishermead the analysis shows above average mortality for stroke (+119.4%).

    According to the research produced by Sky News, in those areas, deaths from circulatory disease are 47.4% higher than average and 58.1% higher than average for coronary heart disease.
