Amazon Milton Keynes donates £1,000 during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

    £1,000 has been donated to Supershoes as part of the company’s global 'Amazon Goes Gold' campaign during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 

    #AmazonGoesGold is a global initiative whigh highlights, supports and amplifies the incredible work done by many organisations.

    Amazon supports and collaborates with childhood cancer organisations every year across Europe.

    This year’s charity partners include the Starlight Foundation, Together for Short Lives, and the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group. 

    Amazon Goes Gold saw the team at Amazon in Milton Keynes hold a month-long series of gold-themed events.

    One of the events this year was a 48-hour PJammin’ party.

    Amazon Milton Keynes General Manager, Victor Pulido, said: “It’s fantastic to support Supershoes as part of this year’s Amazon Goes Gold campaign and we hope the donation provides a boost to the staff and volunteers who do so much for the children in our community.” 

    One of the Amazon employees at the fulfilment centre who took part in Amazon Goes Gold is Gary Wishart. He added: “It’s great that Amazon continues to support childhood cancer organisations both here in Milton Keynes and around the world.

    "I loved taking part in the activities at our site and I’m glad we are able to make this donation to such a brilliant charity in our community.”
