ALL adults in the UK to be offered their first vaccination dose by 31st July

The prime minister has promised that all adults will be offered their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of July in a major step forward in lifting lockdown measures.

This news comes as the UK has officially vaccinated over 17 million people against coronavirus since last December.

Ben Everitt, MP for Milton Keynes North, praised the historic milestone in the government's vaccination programme. On social media, he posted: "We've passed the 17 million mark!

"That's 17,247,442 people who will have protection against coronavirus.

"Really promising news that the Prime Minister has announced every adult will be offered a vaccine by the end of July. And we're bringing forward the plan to vaccinate all over 50s by 15th April rather than the end of April.

"We have to continue to be patient but this is our route back to normality."
