79 and 86 year old in hospital following assault in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police was called to a report of a serious assault on Sunday

Officers attended an address in Chicheley Street, Newport Pagnell at around 12:45pm on Sunday (24/3).

Two victims, a 79-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man had sustained serious injuries.

Both victims were taken to hospital where they currently remain in a serious condition. A road closure was put in place on Chicheley Street while officers attended the incident and a scene watch is currently in place.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.
