32 coronavirus cases and two virus-linked deaths announced in Milton Keynes today

    There were 32 new coronavirus cases and two virus-linked deaths announced in Milton Keynes today, according to the latest data.

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 19,237 - of which 186 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate, or infection rate, in Milton Keynes has fallen from 100.9 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 98.3 cases per 100,000 people today.

    This still remains higher than the national case rate of 79.7 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there were an additional 5,947 people tested positive today with 236 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    Two of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes, bringing the city's total COVID-linked death toll to 456 since the start of the pandemic.
