Plans to further extend the Western Expansion area of Milton Keynes include 280 new houses and three primary schools.

Three parcels of land, around 16.7 acres worth, have been purchased by housebuilder Crest Nicholson from L&Q Estates.

The land is in the Western Expansion area of Milton Keynes.

The development plans will see the construction of 280 new houses, ranging from one to five bedrooms.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and will eventually connect to Tattenhoe Street.

James Mooney, Sales Director at Warwick-based L&Q Estates said: “Our ambition to help to create homes, schools, parks, play areas and health facilities has never wavered since we started work as master developers on this scheme.

“It is great that Crest Nicholson will start work on this latest part of the development later this year to create much-needed homes for families and first-time buyers in an increasingly popular area of Milton Keynes. Crest Nicholson was selected as a partner because of their history of delivering high-quality housing in the Milton Keynes area, and their commitment to building thriving communities with access to amenities on their doorsteps.”

Christian Morgan, Land Director at Crest Nicholson said: “We are delighted to be working with L&Q Estates as the master developer again to deliver more high-quality housing in the Western Expansion Area of Milton Keynes, adding to our land portfolio and contributing to our wider investment in the city. We’re on track to deliver a further 280 much-needed homes and expect to be on site in Autumn 2023.”
