17 coronavirus cases and no virus-linked deaths announced in Milton Keynes today

    There were 17 new coronavirus cases and no virus-linked deaths announced in Milton Keynes today, according to the latest data.

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 19,932 - of which 70 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate, or infection rate, in Milton Keynes currently stands at 30.1 per 100,000 people.

    This is below the national average, which stands at 30.7 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there were an additional 2,589 people tested positive today with 40 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes today, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic. 

    There were no reporting of local cases across England yesterday (09/04) due to a change in the way cases are being reported.

    A number of historical cases that had been previously reported have been removed from the figures so the numbers reported for the UK and England have been adjusted according.
