    There were 12 new coronavirus cases and no virus-linked deaths announced in Milton Keynes yesterday, according to the latest data.

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,022 - of which 113 were in the past seven days.

    According to the Government website, the 7-day case rate, or infection rate, has increased from 37.9 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 41.9 cases per 100,000 people yesterday.

    Yesterday's national average was 29.3 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there was an additional 2,206 people tested positive yesterday, with 35 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes yesterday, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.
