First-round winners Calico Place have a guaranteed slot in the first semi-final for Battle of the Bands!
Held at The Cricketers, The Battle of The Bands first round was a major success with all three bands giving it their very talented best, making it a very close call when having to pick the winner.
The first round was kicked off with an awesome dreamy performance from the Carbon Daydreams, they were received very well by the audience and set the night off to a high standard. Next on stage was the rooftop-blowing Debris UK, they put in a magnificent performance and certainly had many of their own fans there. Calico Palace came on last and really gave it their all with a spectacular performance, which left the audience torn between Debris UK and Calico Palace to win, both judges Stuart Mack and Jorge Vasques had a headache in deciding, as the call was left to them after such a close vote from the audience and the judges chose Calico palace.
Calico Palace has secured their place in the first semi-final. Now we wait for the 11th February, for the next round of Battle of the Bands, where we will see Bruises take the stage at 8PM starting the show, The Doll Drums is on at 9PM and at 10PM the Adam Blunden Band will be battling it out for the next place on the semi-final. The Battle of the Bands events are free, so head on down to the next battle and enjoy some awesome music from such talented bands, all from our very own home of Milton Keynes.
