Unity Place celebrates two years as Milton Keynes’ landmark destination

It was launched as the new city's go-to destination for community, collaboration and connection, and two years since opening its doors, Unity Place has been marking its anniversary with a week of celebrations.

Now a busy city hub, the space brings together businesses, charities, food lovers, and visitors from across the new city and beyond.

Since launching, the central space has welcomed 37 organisations who have made use of the community hall facilities, supported charities including MK Food Bank, MK Snap, Willen Hospice and Camphill MK, and hosted more than 857 events and 125 businesses in the conference and events spaces.

More than 1000 coworking members are now a part of the Unity Place community.

"As we celebrate two years of Unity Place, we’re incredibly proud of the role we’ve been able to play at the very heart of Milton Keynes,” said a spokesperson.

“From the very beginning, Unity Place was designed to be more than a building – it’s a gateway to the city and a space where communities, businesses, and individuals can come together to collaborate, connect, and grow. Over the past two years, we’ve supported local charities, hosted hundreds of events, and provided a home for organisations and entrepreneurs who are helping shape the future of Milton Keynes.

“This milestone is not just a celebration of what’s been achieved so far, but a springboard for what’s to come. We’re excited to continue building partnerships, creating opportunities, and ensuring Unity Place remains a welcoming space for everyone in our city,” they added.

The anniversary celebrations continue today with special offers from participating food and beverage outlets, a look back at the highlights and achievements over the past 24 months, and competitions.

“Unity Place was designed to bring people together, and two years on it’s incredible to see how the community of Milton Keynes has embraced it,” said Nathan Kennard, centre experience manager. “From the charities we’ve supported to the thousands of people who have entered our doors, Unity Place is now firmly part of Milton Keynes’ story.”

Far from being complacent, plans moving forward include new events, partnerships, and more community initiatives.
