Summer plumbing ideas from Lime Heating

It’s time to get creative with your outdoor gas and plumbing! Lime Heating's top 6 summer hacks.

    1. Outdoor tap: starting off with the basics—adding one or more outdoor taps around your property takes the strain out of watering plants, washing the car and filling the paddling pool! Want to take the chill off the paddling pool? Add a hot tap too!

    2. Outdoor shower: taking the hot tap a step further, why not install an outdoor shower to freshen up after your alfresco workouts or (if you’re lucky enough to have a swimming pool!), post swim!

    3. Dog shower: the outdoor shower might be a stretch for those without a country estate — however a dog shower can be more realistic option. Save your bathroom from muddy paw prints and the inevitable splashes by getting your pup clean before they even come in the house! While a dog washing station can be a budget-buster, we can do clever things with a regular shower mixer and a meter cabinet.

    4. Outdoor sink: for those whose priorities lie in the gastronomic, a sink is a key component when creating an outdoor kitchen or bar area. Use it for the ultimate in convenient food prep, refreshments and clean up and don’t waste a minute of sunshine stuck indoors!

    5. Outbuildings: connect up your outbuildings and turn your shed or garage into a home bar, a gym or a salon side hustle!

    6. Move your boiler: who says your boiler actually needs to be in the house?! One of our more unusual jobs involved moving the boiler from the kitchen, where the customer found it unsightly, to the garage which was completely detached from the house!
