The regular season may be over, but there’s still a huge match coming up on 15th June: Soccer Aid for UNICEF, taking place this year at Old Trafford.
From 2nd – 6th June, TV and radio presenter, and returning Soccer Aid player Sam Thompson has been tasked with transporting the Soccer Aid match ball over 260 miles from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford in time for this year’s game, starting and finishing each day at iconic footballs stadiums along the way.
Every mile, on foot and by bike, Sam is hoping to raise as much money as possible to support UNICEF's work for children worldwide.
How can I get involved?
Sam will be finishing his first challenge day at Stadium MK, at approximately 6pm on Monday 2nd June. He’ll also be setting off on his second day, Tuesday 3rd June at approximately 8am.
We are encouraging people to come down from about 45-60 minutes before his anticipated finish and start times, to cheer Sam on, as he takes on his Match Ball Mission for Soccer Aid.
