Sam Bradley appointed as City Centre Safety & Operations Lead at MyMiltonKeynes.
MyMiltonKeynes BID is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Bradley as its new City Centre Safety & Operations Lead, bringing over 17 years of experience in policing, crime prevention, and community safety to the role.
Sam joins My-MK following a distinguished career with Thames Valley Police, where he most recently worked within the Violence Reduction Unit and led safeguarding initiatives for high-risk young people in Milton Keynes. His background includes delivering major projects, building partnerships, and implementing innovative crime prevention strategies.
In his new role, Sam will lead the BID’s crime and safety agenda, working in close partnership with Thames Valley Police, Milton Keynes City Council, and local businesses. He will take responsibility for a range of initiatives including the development of the City Centre Emergency Plan and the MK Ready to Respond programme, managing the BID's private security contract and radio scheme, and advancing the City Bar Watch scheme, including the development of an innovative Live Facial Recognition pilot aimed at reducing repeat offending in the night-time economy. He will chair the Crime Task Force Meeting, coordinating efforts across stakeholders to enhance city centre safety and resilience.
Speaking on his appointment, Sam said: “I’m thrilled to be joining MyMiltonKeynes. This role allows me to apply my experience in a way that directly benefits the businesses and communities I care deeply about. I’m looking forward to building on the BID’s fantastic work and helping to create a safer, more welcoming city centre.”
Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMiltonKeynes, welcomed Sam to the team: “Sam brings a wealth of frontline experience and a genuine passion for community safety. His proven track record in developing and delivering impactful safety programmes will be invaluable as we continue to work with partners to ensure Milton Keynes City Centre is a safe and thriving place for all that work, live and visit it.”
