Milton Keynes to Host Hands-On AI Training Day

The city that once hosted the world’s first AI Safety Summit is set to welcome a new wave of artificial intelligence training later this month.

A new one-day workshop, AI Cyclops, will take place on Tuesday 26 August 2025 at The Open University in Milton Keynes. Designed for professionals, small business owners, and students, the course aims to give attendees hands-on experience with AI tools — without the jargon or overwhelm often found in online training.

The workshop will focus on real-world applications of AI software including ChatGPT, DALL·E, Canva, and other creative and productivity tools. Participants will be guided step-by-step through practical exercises, leaving with the skills and confidence to integrate AI into their everyday work and projects.

Organisers say the in-person format allows for more personalised support and immediate feedback, with a 28-day mentoring programme offered after the workshop to help attendees embed what they’ve learned.

“Milton Keynes has such a strong link to both technology and innovation, and this event continues that legacy,” said a spokesperson for AI Cyclops. “Our goal is to demystify AI and make it accessible to everyone — whether they’re a business owner, a student, or simply curious.”

The workshop will run from 9am to 5pm, with all equipment, refreshments, and lunch provided.
