A respected local skin specialist and businesswoman, Samantha Amey, has released her new book Your Skin Bible, a guide designed to make expert skin knowledge accessible, friendly, and reassuring for people of all ages.
Published in December 2025, Your Skin Bible was written after a moment that stayed with Samantha long after one of her long-standing clients left the area.
“When she told me she was moving away, she said she needed to ‘find another Sam’,” Samantha explains. “She said she wished everyone had a skin practitioner who cared as much, had the same depth of knowledge, and made them feel comfortable and understood. That really stopped me in my tracks.”
Working one-to-one with clients for nearly 28 years, Samantha realised that while her in-clinic work was deeply personal, it was limited by geography. Your Skin Bible became her way of extending that same care, knowledge, and reassurance to people far beyond the walls of her clinic.
“I wanted the book to feel like sitting down with a trusted skin bestie,” she says. “Friendly, honest, supportive — but still rooted in real experience and science.”
Written to be suitable for anyone from early teens through to adulthood, Your Skin Bible takes readers on an easy-to-understand journey through skin health. It covers everything from fascinating facts about how skin works, to how skin changes throughout different life stages, including puberty, adulthood, and hormonal shifts later in life.
The book also helps readers decode skincare in a practical way - explaining product ingredients in plain English, how to identify skin types and concerns, and how to make informed choices in an industry that can often feel overwhelming. Readers are also guided on how to choose a practitioner if they need professional support, alongside balanced information on different types of treatments.
What sets Your Skin Bible apart is its interactive approach. Throughout the book, readers are encouraged to take part in activities that help them apply what they’re learning to their own skin, turning information into understanding and confidence.
While the book is science-backed, it is intentionally written in accessible, conversational language. It draws heavily on Samantha’s decades of hands-on experience and is written as if she is speaking directly to a friend - removing fear, judgement, and confusion from the conversation around skin.

Although Ever After Vitality Centre remains the heart of Samantha’s work, Your Skin Bible represents an important expansion of her mission.
“This book is about helping people feel informed, empowered, and supported — even if they never set foot in my clinic,” she says. “If someone can understand their skin better, make kinder choices for themselves, and stop feeling overwhelmed or at fault, then the book has done its job.”
