The new city has been named among the UK's top cities for business growth and innovation.
With cities competing to become hubs of enterprise, technology, and creativity, Milton Keynes has been placed in fourth position, according to a survey by ZOTA Professional Training.
They carried out an in depth study, analysing more than 50 major UK locations, examining business growth, the concentration of so-called ‘new economy’ firms, the number of patents filed per 100,000 residents, and the level of tech event activity per capita.
Location, transport links and a focus on forward-looking industries – including logistics, green tech, and robotics - were listed as reasons for the success.
