Welcome to our newsletter. We hope that May is treating you well. If you've missed the latest on social media, here's what we've been up to this month.
New Mayor of MK Chooses Camphill as Mayoral Charity
The new Mayor of Milton Keynes has chosen our charity to benefit during his 2025-26 term. On the 14th of May, Councillor James Lancaster was sworn in as the Mayor of Milton Keynes. The youngest-ever Mayor of our city has announced his target of significantly impacting charitable work in MK.
We’ll be the Mayoral Charity for the 2025/36 term. In September, James will face his fears by abseiling off the tallest abseil structure in the world, and he is looking for others to join him. He will also host an afternoon tea in November in our beautiful Chrysalis Theatre and run a half marathon at the MK Marathon in 2026. You can help James on his fundraising journey by donating to his Just Giving Page.
We wish him luck in his adventure as the Mayor of Milton Keynes and are thrilled he has chosen to support us.

Challenge Time! Abseil for Camphill MK on Sat 13th September
If you’d like to do something amazing this year, you could have the unique opportunity to abseil 400ft down the lift tower at The National Lift Tower in Northampton on Saturday, 13th September. We’re seeking brave souls to take on the challenge and raise much-needed funds for our charity. https://camphillmk.co.uk/abseil-for-camphill-mk-saturday-13th-september/
Thanks To Our MK Marathon Weekend Runners
We were so pleased to have exceptional individuals running for Camphill MK at this year’s MK Marathon Weekend, 4th & 5th May 2025. Our runners (residents, service users and corporate friends) raised over £6,000 for Camphill
MK. The vital funds will help us continue to grow through our large capital expansion project to build new accessible homes for adults.
There is still time to support them! https://camphillmk.co.uk/mk-marathon-weekend-runners-2025/
Join us at our Midsummer Fair
Join us at Camphill MK for our Midsummer Fair on Saturday, June 21st, from 10am to 2pm. Enjoy local craft stalls, and entertainment. Our Café will be open for food and drink. Also, we’ll be running ‘have-a-go’ sessions. You can choose from:
· Pottery – try your hand on our pottery wheel (15 mins – drop-in)
· Make a ceramic ornament (15 mins – please book)
· Tote Bag printing (15 mins – drop-in)
· Card Weaving (30 Mins – please book) – create a coaster on a cardboard loom using recycled materials
· Willow Weaving – An informal drop-in session to contribute to a communal piece (like our willow angel near the Café) (15 mins – drop-in)
Bookable sessions are £5 per session to cover the cost of materials. Drop-in sessions welcome donations. All stalls will be in marquees and on the green with space to picnic and listen to live music.
We will also run an interactive escape room-style performance of Fete of the War, written and performed by our Performing Arts Workshop. The interactive escape room performance will involve up to three teams trying to track down the spy and recover the plans before time runs out and the plans are passed into enemy hands. The audience/players must solve puzzles and interact with the colourful characters that inhabit the Easter Fete to uncover the many mysteries. https://camphillmk.co.uk/midsummer-fair-june-21st/
