Popeyes® UK, the home of Louisiana fried chicken, officially opened the doors to its brand-new restaurant in Milton Keynes this morning.
The new restaurant, located at Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, opened its doors at 11am, bringing the spirit of New Orleans to Milton Keynes including a ribbon cutting ceremony, exclusive merch giveaways, and live music from the Brass Funkeys.
Zac was first through the door, having queued for a mighty 23.5 hours, saying:
“I’ve tried Popeyes before and the Chicken Sandwich is my favourite. When I heard about the epic launch, I knew I had to come down to try and be first in the queue, and it’s all been totally worth it. The food’s really good!”
Lina, who arrived with Zac at 11:30am yesterday and was second in the queue, added:
“I love the Spicy Chicken Wrap and thought it would be a fun challenge to try to be the first through the doors. My friend [Zac] was coming so I tagged along - it felt like a deserved break from Uni and something a bit different!”
Whether dining in or taking away, fried chicken fans can now get a taste of the full Popeyes® menu, including fan-favourites like the Chicken Sandwich, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps in Classic, Spicy, and BBQ.
All of Popeyes® chicken is marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter crunch,’ complemented by tasty extras like Biscuits and Cajun Gravy.
The new Saucin’ Boneless and Wings range is also available, featuring bold, New Orleans-inspired flavours: cheesy Garlic Parm, bold BBQ, and spicy Buffalo. Each portion of the Saucin’ range features these iconic flavours over its iconic spicy Hot Wings or all-new boneless chicken breast pieces.

The new restaurant is now open at Unit 2 Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, MK9 3GB and brings 57 new jobs to the local area. The site includes 66 interior seats and 96 exterior seats, self-service kiosks and collection points for orders made online via the Popeyes® UK website or official app.
