TRAVEL: Delays to train services following fire between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby

A fire has been spotted alongside the West Coast mainline track.

A fire next to the track between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central via Northampton is causing delays on the West Coast Mainline today (08/09).

Some services from Milton Keynes Central are delayed or cancelled as a result.

A National Rail spokesman said: "A fire next to the track between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central means that some lines are blocked. As a result trains through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

UPDATE 15:21: Trains are now running normally following a fire next to the track between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central via Northampton.
