Delays to train services from Milton Keynes Central after person is hit by train

MKFM understands a person has been hit by a train between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central.

UPDATE: Due to a speed restriction over defective track between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.

Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central, all lines are currently blocked.

Avanti West Coast say that a person has been hit by a train between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central.

As a result, trains may be cancelled or delayed, National Rail report.

Disruption is expected until at least 14:00.
