The celebrations will kick off on Sunday June 12th, with a Windrush Cricket family Fun Day at Campbell Park Pavilion, Milton Keynes. Highlighting the event will be a very exciting cricket match featuring an International Players XI vs. a Milton Keynes Players XI.
The international contingent will be led by Sir Clive Lloyd, managed by Steve Stephenson (MBE), and include legendary test cricketers; Sir Gordon Greenidge, Devon Malcolm, Ritchie Richardson, Philo Wallace, Paul Hennessy, Monty Panesar, Abid Zia, Arasham Hadier, Chris Lewis, Gareth Bresse, Brian Breese (Former CEO of Jamaica cricket board).
The Milton Keynes XI will boast local cricket stars from the clubs and groups in the area.
The winning team will be presented with The FOTC Milton Keynes Cricket Cup.
Members of the international group (incl. Sir Clive Lloyd), have pledged their willingness to grant interviews to your media group in promotion of the game.
The family fun will feature a bouncy castle, face painting, and lots of children activities. Food and drinks galore…. with the best jerk cuisine in the UK. Photo ops and autographed cricket gear. Pre-sold tickets are only £5 (includes parking), free for under 16, gates open 10:00 am.
