Spoon Rings

On this 3 hour course at the jewellery workshop you will learn how to turn silver spoons into beautiful rings.

There will also be the opportunity to use spoon bowls to make pendants if you’d like to utilise any cut off sections.

You will learn how to:
Measure your finger length and work out spoon proportions
Decide which, if any, areas to cut from your spoon
Use a saw to cut and form your spoon
Use pliers, mandrels and mallets to form your spoon into a ring
File and sand to make your spoon ring feel comfortable to wear
Polish your ring

Level: Suitable for total beginners as well as those with some experience

Materials: Spoons are in addition to your course fees and cost between £12 and £20. Please do feel free to bring your own but ensure they are sterling silver. Silver plate is too hard to work with.
