Join Willen Hospice for their Lake Run on Sunday 6 October. Choose from a 2K fun run, or more competitive 5k or 10k run. Adults, children (minimum age 4 years old), and dogs welcome.
Whether you want a serious Sunday run, or a laugh with your family on our Fun Run, the Lake Run is a great way for runners of all different ages, strengths and styles to come together for a great cause.
2K Fun Run
There's a reason that 'run' rhymes with 'fun', right?
The theme for our Fun Run is blue! So make sure to dress up, wear a wig, paint your faces, anything blue!
Then, when you're looking suitably silly, run just for fun with your family or friends - pooches included! Just make sure to wear appropriate running shoes - sorry if you had a blue pair of flippers in mind...
The Fun Run is suitable for children aged 4+, and everyone taking part will get their very own Lake Run medal.
Our 2K Fun Run starts from 9.30am.
Please arrive at 8.45am to take part in our warm up.
5K or 10K Run
Of course you're still welcome to come in fancy dress for our 5K and 10K routes, but this is for runners looking for a release of endorphins and the fantastic feeling of raising money for a great cause, on a Sunday morning.
Our 5K and 10K routes are suitable for ages 8 and over, and if you're looking to beat your personal best (or 'PB' as they say in the running world), the run will be chipped-timed. You'll also be awarded a special Lake Run medal for being AMAZING and taking part!
Our 5k and 10K starts from 11am.
Please arrive at 10.45am to collect your race number and take part in our warm up.
