India Day Milton Keynes (IDMK) is a cultural, community-driven, not-for-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation of the Indian Diaspora in Milton Keynes. The aim of IDMK is to showcase the "unity in diversity" of all communities through a cultural event held during the middle of British summer (usually the last weekend of June).
During a single day fun-filled carnival/festival, IDMK aims to connect & unite all the communities in Milton Keynes and showcase the rich culture, music, dance, and food of India. The event is organised with the participation and support of the community, local council, park trust and corporate sponsors, which promotes harmony, teamwork and growth within the local business community and surrounding areas.
In 2023, more than 15,000 people from Milton Keynes and the surrounding counties attended, making it one of the largest Indian festivals in the UK.
IDMK '24 will take place on Saturday, 22nd of June 2024 in the cultural heart of Milton Keynes at Campbell Park Amphitheatre, Milton Keynes MK9 3FT.
With attendees joining in more numbers than every previous year, India Day is continuing to be one of the biggest Cultural/Carnival/festivals in the UK.
