Five, weekly, in-person workshops designed to help Milton Keynes homeowners upgrade their homes with confidence and knowledge.
More Information (MKFM is not responsible for external websites)
The programme information is independent and does not recommend or sell any specific products. It has been devised by energy efficiency experts with the assumption that the homeowner is likely to be using contractors to deliver the retrofit work but is keen to develop their own knowledge and understanding.
> Novices and more experienced all welcome
> Independent, expert information and guidance
> Build your knowledge step-by-step
> Peer support and networking
> Warm and welcoming group meetings
> Run by homeowners with retrofit experience
The series will include an overview of options, real-life examples, and key risks that could be encountered which will help homeowners have more informed conversations with contractors and professionals as they develop their own skills and plans.
Each session will be a combination of presentation and group discussion focusing on one of the core home retrofit areas where the relevant Housewarming Guide will be given to attendees following each workshop.
Delivered by the Home Energy MK team, peer support will be actively encouraged as we continue to expand on our empowered retrofit community and network of best-practice sharing in Milton Keynes.
By the end of the workshop series, homeowners should become ‘better buyers’ and more able to decide their priorities for upgrading their homes with cost and energy efficiencies in mind.
