Make your own sterling silver ring in 1 hour!

Under expert guidance you’ll discover traditional metalworking techniques whilst crafting a silver or gold fill ring you’ll be proud to wear or gift.
This taster session is perfectly suited for complete beginners – no jewellery making experience needed.
The relaxed, supportive environment allows you to explore learning at a comfortable pace, with expert demonstration and assistance at every step.
During this hands on session, you’ll master essential silversmithing skills including:
Precise measuring and sizing for the perfect fit
Professional filing and forming techniques
Safe and effective soldering methods
Creating beautiful surface textures
Expert finishing and polishing
You’ll leave the taster session with your own handcrafted silver ring. You’ll also have foundational knowledge to continue exploring jewellery making.
This rewarding experience opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities, giving you valuable insights into the art of working with precious metals.
Materials: Silver is included in the course price. If you would like to use Gold Fill instead of silver there will be an additional charge of £7 on the day.

Great Linford Manor Park will also be hosting a Heritage Open Day on Sat 20 Sep 2025 from 12pm to 5pm, as part of the wider Milton Keynes Heritage Open Days. The event is free and suitable for all ages. It will focus on the park’s rich history and 18th-century gardens, which have been recently restored. Visitors can enjoy guided walks, talks, community stalls, and children’s entertainment. Volunteers in period costume will also be present to bring the past to life.
