This special event invites you to discover the wonders of the 18th-century gardens, which have been carefully restored as part of a five-year Heritage Lottery project. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone.
Highlights of the event include:
• Guided Walks: Learn about the fascinating history and landscape of the park with expert-led tours.
• Volunteers in Period Costume: Step back in time as volunteers dressed in historical attire bring the past to life.
• Talks Tent: A dynamic hub for knowledge-sharing and community engagement, featuring expert presentations on diverse topics such as Archaeology and Astronomy and readings from local authors. A BSL interpreter will be present to cover these sessions.
• Community Stalls: Explore local crafts and community offerings.
• Children's Entertainment: Fun activities to keep the little ones entertained.
• Live Music & Fabulous Food: Enjoy a lively atmosphere with music performances and delicious food.
