Cardiff's SICKNOTE STEVE is a true to life tribute of the unlikely american hobo blues star Seasick Steve.

His first visit in May 2016 goes down as one of the most memorable gigs at Forest Folk and Roots (check out the photos of the previous gig) and we are really pleased to get him to come back over the bridge!!

"Sicknote Steve recreates the authentic sound of the original hobo bluesman. No technical trickery here - the guitar paying skills and vocals of Sicknote Steve invoke the atmosphere of the Mississippi Delta as he slides and stomps his way through the Seasick songbook.

"As near as you can be to Seasick Steve without being Seasick Steve!"

All in all - expect a great session of raw blues tracks from Seasick Steve and beyond. But it's not just about the songs - you'll get stories, anecdotes and if your lucky a Q&A session at halftime!!

The man is a legend - well at least in Cardiff !! - You can find out more about Sicknote Steve at:

Support comes from local blues duo Mojo Mules. John and Craig are multi-instrumentalist musicians influenced by Muddy Waters, BB King and Rory Gallagher. They deliver an energetic live set with their own unique brand of The Blues.
