Our Autism-Friendly and SEND climbing sessions are for those with special educational needs or climbers who need extra assistance.
More Information (MKFM is not responsible for external websites)
We adapt the centre to create a calmer environment by turning our music right down and limiting the session capacity. We can also turn off the flashing wall lights if necessary. During the session, we have plenty of instructors on hand to help and encourage our climbers.
We also have a climbing hoist which helps those with physical disabilities or for those who find it difficult to climb. The hoist will need to be pre-booked, at least 48 hours in advance as we can help 2 climbers per session, and it will need to be set up. If you think your climber would benefit from the hoist, please contact the team via email or telephone. You are also welcome to arrange a time to visit the centre before your session to be shown the climbing hoist and walls.
