Milton Keynes gym helps local charity to continue supporting children and families battling childhood cancer

Snap Fitness Milton Keynes in Oakridge Park has been collecting eggs and raising funds for The Henry Allen Trust this Easter.

Throughout February and March, Snap Milton Keynes’ members collected over 100 Easter eggs in response to The Henry Allen Trust’s 'EggstraSpecial Easter Wishes' appeal.

Additionally, the management of Snap Fitness Milton Keynes gifted £1,500 to purchase arts and crafts for children affected by cancer.

The Henry Allen Trust was founded in 2014 in memory of Milton Keynes resident Henry Allen, who was only two years old when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk, MYCN Amplified Neuroblastoma. Two years of painful treatments and surgeries couldn’t knock Henry down, his happiness and bravery throughout inspired everyone around him. Henry’s Team has grown and now provides treats and wishes to families affected by cancer across the country, as well as providing financial and counselling support.

Members from Snap Fitness Milton Keynes have been collecting eggs for the Trust and VW Dealer, Marshalls of Milton Keynes, arranged for the eggs to be collected from the gym and many more local collection points, before distributing them in their amazing customised easter bunny ID Buzz.  Destinations included Children’s Wards 4 & 5 at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Mark Mannion, Director of Snap Fitness Milton Keynes, said, “The Henry Allen Trust makes an enormous difference to families under the most difficult circumstances. We hugely admire and respect the Henry Allen team and will continue to support them throughout 2024”.

Tommy Jones, Operations Manager of Snap Fitness Milton Keynes said, “Our members have a very special place in their hearts for The Henry Allen Trust, and we will be working hard to raise more money soon!”

The Henry Allen Trust’s Danielle Faid was touched by the response, “We thank all the generous donors who help us support families battling childhood cancer.  The members of Snap Fitness Milton Keynes have helped the trust over the last couple of years and we are thrilled when the club pledged to work with us throughout 2024.  We look forward to the next fund-raising event!”
