Ryan Blacknell, aged 24, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder and was re-arrested and charged yesterday, with one count of murder.
The charge is in connection with the death of a 29-year-old woman, who was found deceased at a property in Newport Road, New Bradwell, on Thursday. Formal identification is yet to take place however officers believe the deceased to be Ella Parker, of Milton Keynes.
A Home Office Post-Mortem examination today established the cause of death to be as a result of puncture wounds to the neck. Her next of kin are continuing to be supported by specially-trained family liaison officers.
People in the New Bradwell community are likely to notice an increased presence of police officers in the area while enquiries continue. Anyone with any concerns or information can approach and speak to an officer or call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
Blacknell was remanded in custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court tomorrow later today.
