Milton Keynes charities and church partner with Musica Charity Choir MK for Gala Concert

A gala concert to lift spirits and raise vital funds for three fantastic local Milton Keynes charities is taking place later this month at St James’s Church in New Bradwell.

The ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ concert is being organised by Musica Charity Choir MK and St James’s Church in partnership with MK SNAP, Willen Hospice and Medical Detection Dogs who promise “an entertaining evening of songs you’ll know and love”.

    Tickets can be booked here.

Two of the charities, MK SNAP and Medical Detection Dogs, are the chosen charities of the Mayor of MK, Cllr Amanda Marlow who commented in a recent Facebook post: “I am really looking forward to the evening and I am sure it will be a wonderful concert.”

Ken Storry, Music Director for Musica Charity Choir MK said: “We are delighted to be partnering with these wonderful local charities and St James’s Church for the event. There will be a little bit of something for everyone music wise.”

Doors open at 7pm on Saturday 29th April for the concert and the programme includes hits from Queen and Abba plus well-known songs like Somewhere Over the Rainbow, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Amazing Grace, Londonderry Air and more! Refreshments will be available and a raffle.

“This is a night not to be missed”, commented MK SNAP’s CEO, Angela Novell. “Raising vital funds for three great charities and raising the roof of St James’s Church with the fabulous Musica Charity Choir will be an unforgettable feel-good experience.”

Ticket proceeds are being split between Willen Hospice, MK SNAP and Medical Detection Dogs.
