Shoppers urged to check their cupboards as two products recalled by Lidl and Waitrose

Shoppers are being urged to check their cupboards as supermarket chains Lidl and Waitrose issue food recalls on some products.

Lidl have issued an urgent food recall due to the 'possible salmonella contamination' of one of its breakfast bars.

The supermarket have recalled its Deluxe Dark Chocolate Muesli Bar with Brazils and Cranberries.

Packs affected are the 3 x 45g size with best before dates of the end of: August 2020, September 2020, October 2020, December 2020, January 2021, February 2021, March 2021 and April 2021.

If you have bought the above product, do not eat it.

Instead, you should return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Meanwhile, Waitrose are recalling Waitrose & Partners Chicken Satay with Sweet Chilli Sauce.

This is because an incorrect dip has been packed in the product resulting in fish and peanuts not being mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish and/or peanuts.

Packs affected are the 85g size with a use by date of 17 August 2020.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to fish and/or peanuts, do not eat it.

Instead return it to a local Waitrose store for a full refund. Alternatively contact Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 881 Option 4.
