Youngster from Milton Keynes gets in the saddle for charity ride

A boy from Newport Pagnell will use peddle power to raise money for two charities later this month.

Twelve-year-old Campbell Creighton, a pupil at Ousedale School, wants to raise at least £3000 which he will split between The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND) and Willen Hospice.

He has form too – he completed his first charity cycling challenge last year, raising 26 miles and raising £2205 for Willen Hospice.

Rugby fan Campbell's upcoming challenge – a 30 mile cycle ride around the new city – has been inspired by rugby players Lewis Moody and Ed Slater being diagnosed with MND, and in memory of Rob Burrow and Doddie Weir.

Campbell is an avid supporter of Northampton Saints and plays in the under-13s for Olney RUFC.

He is also supporting Willen Hospice in memory of his grandad.

Campbell is well on the way to hitting his target, and has already raised £2360.
