Young peoples’ charity seeks new Chair and Trustees

Action4Youth is keen to hear from those wanting to change the lives of young people, by becoming part of a well-respected and dynamic charity.

Action4Youth makes a real difference to young people through a range of fun and challenging programmes and initiatives.

Working with young people from all backgrounds and all abilities, Action4Youth creates better chances for young people by creating opportunities to discover their personal strengths and potential, making a real difference to their futures.

The organisation, based in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes but reaching young people across the wider south east region, is currently in a period of ambitious growth as it increases its influence and reach. The role of the Trustees and in particular the Chair of the Board of Trustees will add energy, purpose and substance to the team as it pushes forward at an exciting time. This is an opportunity for someone with a can do attitude and a strong desire to make things happen.

Ken Birkby, the outgoing Chair of Action4Youth’s Board of Trustees has 30 years of knowledge and experience in working as a board to govern and direct how a charity is managed and run. Ken explains:

“I would say to anyone thinking of applying to the position of Chair or Trustee, have a close look at what the Charity is doing, and speak to young people and perhaps their parents. You will not fail to be enthused by the work being done and the obvious impact on the young people. The Action4Youth team exudes enthusiasm, professionalism and total commitment. You will want to be a part of it!”

If you would like to be part of a supportive, driven, committed team whose desire to achieve is matched by an intention to enjoy work on a day to day basis, please send your cv and a covering letter outlining what skills and experience you would bring which would enrich our Board to Kathryn.hobbs@action4youth.org by 30th May. Please state if you are applying to be Chair or a Trustee. Further details and role profiles are available at http://www.action4youth.org/jobs/.
