Yellow weather warning for THREE DAYS of rain in Milton Keynes this week

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain lasting for three days this week in Milton Keynes.

It will be in force from midnight on Tuesday morning until midday on Thursday lunchtime.

Spells of prolonged and heavy rain may lead to flooding and disruption to travel in places, according to forecasters.

The heaviest rain is expected on Wednesday.

The warning follows a number of flood warnings which have been in place over the last few days.

As a result of the weather warning, the Met Office say homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

They also add that fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life.

And they say that delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible as well as spray and flooding leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

Officials also say that some communities may be cut off by flooded roads and there is the possibility of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
