Woodhill inmate caught with Al Quaida magazine

An inmate at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes has been found with a copy of the banned Al Qaida magazine called Inspire.

The incident was reported in 2013 but has only just been revealed in figures from the Ministry of Justice. The figures also revealed the same magazine was found to be in the possession of inmates at three other prisons across the UK.

Possession of the magazine could be a criminal offence and it was removed from the inmate.

The information was revealed to Parliament after Labour's Shadow Justice Secretary Richard Burgon MP tabled a parliamentary question.
