Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes to host live virtual 'magic experience' this Halloween

Willen Hospice will be hosting a virtual 'magic experience' this Halloween weekend, all to raise much-needed funds.

The Willen-based hospice has teamed up with a local children's entertainer, called Crazy Colin and Dizzee the Dog, to host the fancy dress event via Zoom.

The show will be full of magic tricks, also giving children the opportunity to learn some simple tricks themselves. There will be a competition for the best fancy dressed with the winner getting themselves a virtual magic show with Crazy Colin for their own party.

It costs £5 to take part in the show which will go towards funding Willen Hospice's much-needed care. The charity needs to raise £9 every single minute to continue offering free end-of-life care to residents.

The annual running costs of the Hospice is around £5.9m, with a quarter of the costs being met by the NHS. The remainder is raised by the local community with donations and events, like this one, being a major source of income.

Willen Hospice's latest virtual event, Halloween Trick and Treat, will take place on Friday (30/10) at 6pm.

Participants will need a computer (or phone) with Zoom, their best fancy dress, some elastic bands, three paper cups, and a couple of sheets of paper or tin foil.
