Weekly applause for the NHS is still going strong in Milton Keynes

Now in its third week, the applause for NHS workers across the country seems to be getting even louder as community spirit grows.

Yesterday, thousands of households throughout Milton Keynes took to their doorsteps, windows and balconies to applaud healthcare workers working hard during the coronavirus pandemic.

It is part of the weekly #ClapForOurCarers campaign, which takes place at 8pm every Thursday.

Intu Milton Keynes also turned blue for the event. CMG Rescue Services drove its fleets of vans and lorries through Newport Pagnell sounding their horns.

Residents also picked up pots and pans, air horns and even saxophones to make some noise for the NHS.
