Volunteering and coronavirus: How can I help?

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, which covers Milton Keynes, is seeking volunteers to help during the current pandemic.

Central and North West London (CNWL) is currently recruiting to the following roles where you will be asked to provide support anywhere across the Trust:

    1. Community Reserve Volunteer – volunteers will be asked to help in the local community. Duties in this role could include running errands, checking up on a service user or volunteer driving.

    2. Emergency Response Volunteer – volunteers will support within our inpatient units. Duties in this role could include supporting activities or helping during meal times.

    3. Emergency Support Volunteer – volunteers will support in non-patient facing roles. Duties in this role could include answering the phone, photocopying documents or organising paperwork.

If you are interested, complete an application form on SurveyMonkey by clicking here. The Trust's Volunteer Service will then contact you to discuss your application.

Alternatively, you can get in touch by emailing Cnwl.volunteer@nhs.net.

Many of these roles will require volunteers to be public-facing, meaning higher chances of being in contact with other members of the public and NHS staff. Therefore, there is no guarantee that volunteering opportunities will be in environments that are free of Coronavirus.

We ask you to think about your own health first before applying. If you or a member of your family are part of the identified vulnerable group (as outlined by the Government) or self-isolating with symptoms, you should not apply.
