Video shows police conducting two drug-related warrants at Milton Keynes houses

Thames Valley Police carried out two drug-related warrants at properties in Milton Keynes on Wednesday (27/1).

Officers from the Milton Keynes Neighbourhood Policing Team attended two properties - one in Moulsoe and the other in the city - and conducted warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Suspected Class A and Class B drugs were seized from both properties, and officers made one arrest. A 43-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested at one of the premises on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

The man has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries are ongoing.

Following these warrants, police received "ongoing community concern" regarding one of the properties. Thames Valley Police, in partnership with Paradigm Housing, applied to Milton Keynes Magistrates Court yesterday (28/1) for a Closure Order.

This has since been granted, and upon hearing the evidence, the property has been closed for 3 months due to persistent anti-social behaviour, nuisance and criminality.

PC Tom Evans, Neighbourhood Officer for Middleton & Monkston, said: “We take reports of drug dealing and antisocial behaviour very seriously, and will robustly tackle persistent criminality in our communities.

“This Closure Order granted by Milton Keynes Magistrates Court has closed a premises where significant ASB had been experienced by the neighbours over a prolonged period. This sends a clear message that this behaviour will not be tolerated."
