Everybody over the age of 44 in Milton Keynes can now book to have their COVID-19 vaccination.
Those who are 44-years-old will soon receive a text message, or a letter, from the NHS stating that they are being called forward to have their jab.
The NHS is well on track to vaccinating all UK adults by the end of July, and as of yesterday (25/4) around 33 and a half million people have had the vaccine.
Just less than two weeks ago, people aged 45 to 50-years-old became eligible and around 59% of local people in this age group have had their vaccine already.
As a result, the next age group is being called forward - over 44s - with people aged 40 to 43 expected to receive their invitation in the coming days.
People over the age of 44, or those that will turn 44 before 1 July 2021, can now book their vaccination appointment online. There is no need to wait for a letter or text message.
The booking service will show the next available appointment, which could either be at the Saxon Court Mass Vaccination Centre, or one of the many GP and pharmacy-led centres across the city.
It will also give you the opportunity to book your second dose, which will be administered within twelve weeks of the first.
Other people that can book their COVID-19 vaccine include those that are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable), those that have a condition that puts them at higher risk (clinically vulnerable), those that have a learning disability, healthcare workers, and carers (paid and unpaid, including those on carer's allowance).
