UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Roadshow heads to Milton Keynes this weekend

    Milton Keynes is the next stop for the UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022 roadshow.

    The festival of football takes place at Willen Lake this Sunday (5 June) from 11am-5pm.

    The roadshows, supported by Milton Keynes Council, are family-orientated, free events, showcasing the best of football, fitness, and music to provide people in the region with an opportunity to get involved in football and experience the tournament.

    Former England international Faye White, who captained the Lionesses at two women’s EURO championships, will join the celebrations at Willen Lake on Sunday, where visitors will have the chance to learn new football skills and tricks, take part in interactive challenges and meet legends of the game.

The Roadshows are a great way for all the family to really get behind the tournament, celebrate the women’s game and learn more about the teams and players taking part.”

    UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Tournament Director, Chris Bryant said: “We’re delighted to bring the UEFA Women’s EURO 22 Roadshow to Milton Keynes. These exciting free events will enable more people in the region to experience a tournament on home soil and all the wonderful opportunities that brings. There’s never been a better time to get involved in football, whether that’s through learning about the game and developing new skills or showing your support and watching matches at Stadium MK.”

    Anyone wanting to get involved in grassroots football and learn more about other routes to get into the sport, will have an opportunity to do so at the Roadshow, with visitors able to try a range of industry related roles such as matchday presenting and interviewing in a special TV studio.

    Local entertainment will be on offer throughout, with DJ’s performing live, along with a host of other exciting acts on the line-up. Fans will have a chance to have their picture taken with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 trophy. Milton Keynes will also host a special Show Pitch, where MK Don’s Community Foundation will provide taster sessions.

    UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Roadshow will be open from 11am – 5pm on Sunday 5 June at Willen Lake.

    Milton Keynes will be hosting four tournament fixtures, including a semi-final tie.
