Travellers clean up after themselves in Milton Keynes

Police were seen at the site along the V1 Snelshall Street yesterday (14/4) following reports that the travellers had not been social distancing.

Iain Stewart, MP for Milton Keynes South and James Lancaster, Conservative Councillor for Tattenhoe Ward, had both notified police.

The groups of travellers have now vacated the area and have left rubbish in bags to be cleared.

The location has been a hotspot for travellers over the past few years, although it is not known if the people who arrived last week are the same as in previous years.

In 2018, an MKFM video showed the mess left by a group of travellers in the same area and MKFM spoke to Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Pete Marland, about the issue.
