Time capsule marks milestone at brand new Newton Leys care home

A brand new Care Home in Newton Leys recently opened its doors to some local school children to plant a time capsule.

25 students from Newton Leys Primary School were invited down, and brought with them lots of wonderful, handrawn pictures and trinkets to put inside the capsule.

Lakeview Lodge Care Home, which officially opens its doors on Sunday 17th of September for a Public Open Day, overlooks the beautiful Little Willow Lake and will house 66 residents and has created more than 40 jobs for local people.

Spread over three floors, Lakeview Lodge will be registered to provide personalised residential and dementia care in a luxury environment, but at an affordable cost to the local community. The home has been purpose built in traditional stone to promote a lifestyle for residents that offers superior accommodation and a high quality of personalised care. The home will boast 66 en-suite bedrooms, a hair salon, a café/bistro, a shop, a cinema room, and numerous lounges and communal areas.

The home will also come with its own in-house catering team, offering a fine dining experience and waitress service. There will also be a choice of different menus and all food will be prepared on site from fresh ingredients. Family and friends will always be invited to enjoy the experience with their loved ones.

Winners of the prestigious award by Health Investor for residential Provider of the year in 2015, Country Court Care are already established across the United Kingdom, with homes in South Yorkshire, Somerset, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Lincolnshire and London.

Discussing the time capsule, Managing Director of Country Court Care Alykhan Kachra stated “It was our absolute pleasure to invite Newton Leys Primary School to come and plant a time capsule at the home. I saw some exceptional drawings and I very much look forward to welcoming the children back to meet our residents, and of course, to re-open the time capsule in 40 years!”
