Three young tumblers from Milton Keynes secure gold for Team GB

    Milton Keynes Gymnastics Club celebrate as three of their gymnasts win gold for Team GB at the Scalabis Cup in Portugal.

    The GB National Tumbling Team, including three gymnasts from Milton Keynes Gymnastics Club set off to compete in the Annual Scalabis Cup in Portugal over the weekend of the 7th July 2017. 

    All three tumblers from Milton Keynes, Naana Oppon, Jack Leahy and Will Breslin secured Gold for the country.  Naana, who is just 10 years old, competes in the U12 category and dominated in her usual style.  Jack competes in the U14 category and held off stiff competition to secure GB another Gold.  The third MK gymnast Will Breslin, put in a great performance and helped win Team Gold in the Open Senior Male Category. 

    Their coach Mikey French says “I am proud of each and every one of the gymnasts that competed.  Not only the three from MK who always give it their all, but the entire GB team.  We did our country proud!”  Mikey is the Head Tumbling Coach at Milton Keynes Gymnastics Club as well the GB Tumbling coach for the Junior Team. 

    Naana and Jack both live and go to school in Milton Keynes.
