Three coronavirus cases recorded in Milton Keynes as infection slightly increased yesterday

    There were eleven coronavirus cases recorded in Milton Keynes yesterday (22/5) and the infection rate has risen slightly, according to the latest data.

    It brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,256 - of which 58 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate in Milton Keynes has risen from 21.2 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 21.5 cases per 100,000 people today.

    This is still below the national average of 21.8 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there was an additional 2,694 people tested positive today, with 6 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    These deaths did not take place in Milton Keynes, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.

    140,317 local people have had their first dose of the vaccine and 73,677 people are now fully vaccinated.
